COVID-19 PRECAUTIONS

We would like to assure all our clients that safety for our guests and our staff during this time is our utmost priority. We are following all precautionary guidelines outlined by the Alberta Government. Baseline is in compliance with Alberta Biz Connect and their guidelines for safe business operation during COVID-19.

In order to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Alberta, you need to be registered with the provincial body, Alberta College of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (ACSLPA). They released a document titled Providing Services During a Pandemic - August 4, 2020 which additionally drives all protective and precautionary decisions at Baseline.   • Minimizing the risk of contact

  • Physical distancing

  • Hand hygiene at every point of contact, cleanliness/ sanitization of equipment, surfaces and contact areas, hygiene and respiratory etiquette

    • All materials and surfaces will be sterilized between clients.

    • Hand sanitizer is available for our guests.

  • Personal protective equipment (PPE) in place: SLPs wear medical grade mask, face shield and gloves when necessary, and there is a plexiglass divider at the shared table

    • Disposable masks will be available for clients and their parents.

  • Outbreak management plan in place

Every day, staff will review and complete the Alberta Health Services Daily Checklist - Initial Screening Questions to ensure everyone is fit for work. Should you have any additional questions and/or concerns, please reach out.

In addition, we ask that our clients please cancel appointments and stay home if they answer YES to any of the following questions:

  • Do you have a cold?

  • Do you have any of the following symptoms: fever, cough, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, sore throat and/or runny nose?

  • Have you returned to Canada from outside the country (including USA) in the past 14 days?

  • Have you been in close contact with a person who has a probably case of COVID-19?
