  • Janine Liu, R.SLP

    Janine received her Master in Health Sciences (Speech-Language Pathology) from the University of Toronto. She has worked extensively with preschool and school-age children and teens in a variety of settings, including schools, homes, and health centers. Her goal is to engage with families in working towards functional and meaningful communication goals. She is passionate about sharing information, problem solving with families and making home practice fun. She is honoured to journey with every family and client whom she sees.

    Janine’s training includes: Hanen: It Takes Two to Talk®, Learning Language and Loving It, and ABC and Beyond certifications, Lidcombe Program for Early Intervention for Stuttering, Let’s Start Talking Program, Language Acquisition through Motor Planning (LAMP) and Moving Forward with LAMP training, SCERTS® (Introduction and Advanced Training), Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS®).

  • Erica Bilobroka, R.SLP

    Erica received her Bachelor of Science from the University of Alberta in 2008 and immediately pursued her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology, graduating in early 2011 from the Thesis-track. Since that time, she has worked in a variety of preschools, schools, and families’ homes with children aged 2-18. Erica finds great joy in working with families, building strong connections and getting to witness the excitement and pride that comes when communication breakthroughs are made. When not at work, you will find Erica spending time with her family: building Lego, swimming, taking family walks and exploring playgrounds. Erica also loves to read, take dance classes and travel.

    Erica’s training includes: Orofacial Myology: From Basics to Habituation, PROMPT+ Trained, Ultimate Play-Based Speech Therapy Certification, Various Motor Speech Webinars, Language Acquisition through Motor Planning (LAMP), Trauma Informed Care Certification, Health Change Methodology Certification & Indigenous Awareness and Sensitivity Certification.

  • Romy Pistotnik, R.SLP

    Romy received her Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from the University of Alberta in 2020. Since then, Romy has worked at closely assessing and treating children in a variety of settings, including the school, clinic, and home. In her practice, Romy believes in upholding the ideals of learning through play and parent coaching to help every child meet and exceed their goals. Romy wishes to provide care with passion, sincere effort, unguarded enthusiasm and to form authentic connections whenever possible! In her spare time, you will find Romy either at home with her family, watching a movie or taking her puppy out for a walk or play date.

    Romy’s formal training includes: Hanen Learning Language and Loving It, Pragmatic Organization Dynamic Display (PODD), PROMPT Trained, Meaningful Speech course on Gestalt Language Processors and various webinars on adapting therapy virtually.

  • Stephanie Pearson, MscOT

    Stephanie graduated with a Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy from the University of Alberta over 12 years ago and has since been working as a Pediatric Occupational Therapist in a variety of capacities. She also has a Diploma in Counselling Psychology and uses the Neurorelational Framework to guide her practice. She has a broad range of experience working with children 0-18 in home, school, community, and clinical settings in the areas of feeding, parent-child interactions, sleep, sensory processing, functional activities such as toileting, dressing, self-care, fine motor, and executive functioning skills. She is passionate in helping children participate in their everyday activities in playful and meaningful ways.

    Stephanie lives in Edmonton with her husband, two children, and dog. When she is not working, you can find Stephanie enjoying the outdoors, curling up with a good book, baking, and spending time with her family.

  • Lesley Rempel, R.SLP

    Lesley has been practicing as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Alberta for almost 25 years. During that time, she has worked in both the public (health and education) and private sectors as well as held numerous contract positions (i.e. Edmonton Down Syndrome Society, Black Gold School Division Literacy and Numeracy Summer School, Artificial Intelligence Stuttering Consultant and Clinical Educator at Corbett Clinic). As an SLP employed by a school division, Lesley has hands-on experience supporting students and school staff (i.e. Program Unit Funding, AAC, Emergent Literacy, Language Consultations, Speech Sound Groups, School Staff Consultations/Professional Development). Lesley's passion is combining her hands-on experience, orofacial myofunctional and bite block training to support individuals with persistent speech sound disorders. When not at work, Lesley enjoys spending time with her family (including her cat), traveling, watching documentaries, binge watching reality tv, and supporting her 2 adolescent children navigate life.

  • Lauren Komarnicki, R.SLP

    Lauren received her Master of Science in Speech Language Pathology from the University of Alberta in 2019. She has over 4 years of experience assessing and treating children of all ages in school, clinic, and home settings. She has worked with many children with medical diagnoses such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down Syndrome, and other complex genetic syndromes.

    Lauren is passionate about giving children and their families the tools to help their child express themself, all while playing and having fun! She also values collaborating with caregivers and other supporting professionals to benefit the child’s growth. Lauren has special interests in early intervention, language, social communication, and alternative augmentative communication (AAC). When Lauren is not working you can find her spending time with her family, playing guitar, watching live music, or planning her next Disney trip!

    Lauren has completed training in: Pragmatic Organization Dynamic Display (PODD), Language Acquisition through Motor Planning (LAMP), TouchChat, PROMPT trained, Ultimate Play Based SLP course, Meaningful Speech course on Gestalt Language Processors.

  • Shawna Woolley, R.SLP

    Shawna has been practicing as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Alberta for over 20 years. During that time, she has worked on a multidisciplinary team alongside occupational therapists, physical therapists, teachers, and support staff, for the Edmonton Public School Board supporting young children with complex communication difficulties. She has also worked as an instructor for Grant Macewan University teaching Language Intervention approaches to Speech Therapy Assistant Students in the Therapist Assistant Program. Shawna has extensive experience conducting pre-kindergarten assessments and completing documentation for the purpose of program unit funding and referral for further assessment and support. She also has a tremendous amount of experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and Developmental Apraxia of Speech as well as Developmental Language Disorders. Shawna is passionate about working with young children: meeting each child where they’re at. and embraces a warm, hands-on, play-based, multimodal communication approach. It’s about making connections and building on strengths. In her down-time, Shawna enjoys grabbing a coffee and watching her daughters play competitive ringette, softball, and soccer. Growing up on a farm in Saskatchewan she also has a love of gardening and the outdoors.
